Oil India Limited (OIL) has entered into a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the government of Himachal Pradesh to work together to accelerate infrastructure projects in the state. The partnership will focus on the field of alternative energy, including solar energy, green hydrogen, geothermal energy, compressed biogas and more.
The MoU was signed by Harikesh Meena, Director of Energy of the Government of Himachal Pradesh, and P.K. Goswami, Director of (Operations) of OIL in Shimla, in the presence of Sukhwinder Singh Sukhu, Office of the Worshipful Chief Minister of Himachal Pradesh. , Dr Ranjit Rath, CMD OIL, Harish Madhav, Dir (Fin) and senior officials of the government of Himachal Pradesh and OIL.
The partnership between OIL and the government of Himachal Pradesh aims to leverage their expertise and resources to develop infrastructure projects that promote the use of alternative energy sources.
The cooperation will help in exploring and implementing various alternative energy solutions that will benefit the development of the state and promote sustainable energy practices.
The partnership is expected to accelerate the implementation of alternative energy projects in the state and contribute to the country’s renewable energy goals. It will also provide opportunities for job creation and boost economic growth in the state.
