The fourth-generation Emgrand Hybrid sedan was officially launched in Chinese city of Guiyang by Geely. It is the world’s first methanol-electric hybrid car, the alcohol-electric hybrid car is equipped with a new-generation 1.8L alcohol-electric hybrid engine and an industry-leading hybrid-electric transmission.
The car achieves a 40% energy saving rate and low alcohol consumption per 100 kilometers to 9.2L, the travel cost per kilometer is less than 30 cents. The hybrid car for every 10,000 kilometers can reduce carbon by about 0.8 tons.
The price of the alcohol version was fixed as 129,800 yuan ($19368.80).
In terms of batteries, the fourth-generation Emgrand Hybrid sedan is equipped with a 1.83kWh large-capacity high-performance ternary lithium battery, innovatively adopts three-sided luxury liquid cooling technology, with a heat transfer coefficient of up to 40w/k, faster temperature control, and lower energy consumption.
