Ethanol production in US slips back above 1M barrels

In Washington, Energy Information Administration data shows ethanol production shows ethanol production snuck back over the 1 million barrel mark last week to 1.003 million barrels per day on average. With ethanol stocks falling and demand expected to increase coming into the summer driving season with hopes that year-round E15 will be in place due to hard lobbying by many fronts, ethanol production is expected to remain strong. Stocks fell to 25.527 million barrels last week, 661,000 barrels lower than the week before.
