Global liquefied natural gas (LNG) shipping service provider GasLog LNG has partnered with Kongsberg Digital to digitise its entire fleet of 35 vessels.
By installing Kongsberg’s Vessel Insight Infrastructure into their fleet, Gaslog LNG aims to optimise data collection and increase efficiency of its operations.
The company will also gain easy access to fleet overview, vessel specific dashboards and analysis tools.
According to Kongsberg, the Vessel Insight SaaS (Software as a service)-based solution provides vessel-to-cloud data infrastructure that captures and aggregates data in a cost effective and secure way.
Once integrated with Vessel Insight, users will be able to access the Kognifai Marketplace, a hub for ship owners and operators to purchase digital applications and services.
Earlier this month, Kongsberg announced a partnership to decarbonise the maritime industry by developing joint solutions, enhancing their service portfolios, and identifying pilot projects to support maritime customers through the energy transition.
