Piyush Goyal, minister of commerce and industry, urged the promotion of sustainable consumption habits in order to reduce carbon emissions and address environmental concerns. According to him, consumers worldwide must concentrate on consuming environmentally friendly goods.
Because of the way we currently live, we must be aware of the waste and carbon imprint. This will be at the heart of a better world in the future. “We cannot solve sustainability and environmental issues unless we address consumption patterns,” Goyal stated while speaking at the Partnership Summit of CII.
He went on to say that “it is a greater function of the carbon caused by (our) consumption because manufacturing comes only because there is a consumption demand” rather than the carbon emissions from production. He recommended a better, more sustainable method of handling that demand.
Israel’s Minister of Economy and Industry, M K Nir Barkat, spoke at the ceremony and stated that the two nations’ trade and economic ties are expanding. He stated that a corridor that runs from India through Israel, the United Arab Emirates, and Europe would aid in fortifying commercial connections even further.
