Hapag-Lloyd has partnered with Danish tech company ZeroNorth to launch a digital bunker procurement and planning solution.
The partnership will collaborate on creating a digital solution for Hapag-Lloyd to navigate the energy transition, reduce fuel costs, and lower service costs.
ZeroNorth said the solution will set a ‘new industry standard’ for digitalising end-to-end bunker planning and procurement, offering enhanced user experiences and features like streamlined contract and port planning, contract tender capabilities, and a true price algorithm, and is ready for immediate rollout.
The partnership comes amidst the continued digitalisation of the bunker market, with advances in technology and increasing amounts of data enabling a new era of transparent bunker procurement decision-making.
