As part of a pilot project funded by power giant NTPC, energy transition business Jakson Green in India used a synthesis process to create methanol from CO2.
“Jakson Green has achieved a global first. Jakson Green has successfully synthesized methanol from captured carbon dioxide at NTPC’s Vindhyachal Thermal Power Plant,” the firm said.
The pilot project has been commissioned within 12 months from the date of award from NTPC, he said.
Part of Jakson Group, Jakson Green has a presence in India, Europe, and Africa. It focuses on operating in new energy spaces.
