Jupiter Electric Mobility (JEM), the electric vehicle arm of Jupiter Wagons Limited, has embarked on a two-month nationwide roadshow aimed at expanding its dealer network. This ambitious initiative will target key Indian states, tapping into unique regional demands for commercial electric vehicles (EVs). The goal: to create a robust network of partners who will help drive JEM’s mission to revolutionize sustainable transportation across India.
As JEM gears up for the December 2024 full-scale launch of its flagship vehicle, the Tez, a compact commercial EV designed for last-mile deliveries, this roadshow is crucial for fostering relationships with dealers in markets where electric commercial vehicles are poised for high adoption. The Tez, equipped with a 30kWh battery that provides 25% more range than competitors, has already been piloted in several cities, receiving widespread acclaim for its superior performance.
Each state in JEM’s roadshow has been chosen based on its potential to benefit from electric commercial vehicles, reflecting the company’s deep understanding of regional business ecosystems:
• Bengaluru: Ideal for startups and tech-driven logistics, where fast, efficient, and eco-friendly last-mile delivery is critical.
• Punjab & Haryana: Supports agricultural logistics with cost-effective and sustainable transport solutions for farmers.
• Maharashtra (Mumbai, Pune, Nagpur): Perfect for urban e-commerce and trade sectors needing reliable, long-range transport.
• Gujarat (Ahmedabad, Surat): Benefits the state’s thriving SMEs by providing dependable, economical commercial vehicle solutions.
• Tamil Nadu (Chennai, Coimbatore): Aligns with the industrial and logistics needs of this growing electric mobility hub.
For dealers, this roadshow presents a unique opportunity to become key players in a growing market. Electric commercial vehicles are no longer the future—they are the present, driven by increasing government incentives and rising fuel costs, which make the switch to EVs not just viable, but essential. By partnering with JEM, dealers can be at the forefront of this shift, positioning themselves as leaders in sustainable logistics.
“At Jupiter Electric Mobility, we are driving innovation with a purpose—to empower our dealers and communities to be key contributors in reshaping India’s transportation ecosystem,” said Mr. Vivek Lohia, Managing Director of JEM. “Our approach is holistic, focusing not just on delivering electric vehicles but on fostering long-term partnerships that enable our dealers to offer tailored, sustainable solutions. Through this roadshow, we are building a network that transforms regional logistics, ensuring that the shift to green mobility benefits businesses and consumers alike.”
JEM is also expanding partnerships with key players in charging infrastructure, financing, and leasing sectors to ensure seamless EV adoption across diverse industries. With further strategic tie-ups in the pipeline, the company is setting the stage to lead the electric commercial vehicle category in India.
