OOCL marked its first biofuel bunkering operation in Hong Kong by procuring ISCC-EU certified B24 marine biofuel, supplied by Chimbusco Pan Nation Petro-chemical Co Ltd (CPN). This marks a major step forward in the decarbonisation strategy of OOCL, reinforcing its commitment to ecofriendly energy solutions contributing to the mega carbon emission reduction goals of the global maritime sector.
Marking a major preference by shipping lines towards biofuels, earlier this month, Chimbusco Pan Nation Petro-chemical Co Ltd also supplied 300 metric tonnes of ISCC-EU Certified B24 marine biofuel to the “YM INCEPTION,” a containership owned by Yang Ming Marine Transport Corporation.
