ADNOC, Jiangnan Shipyard, and DNV celebrate delivery of first large-scale Mark III Flex LNG Carrier

The Abu Dhabi National Oil Company (ADNOC), Jiangnan Shipyard (Group) Co., Ltd., and classification society DNV, celebrated the naming and delivery ceremony of China’s first large-scale Mark III Flex membrane LNG carrier, the 175,000 cbm, Al Shelila. The first of a six-vessel series, this landmark delivery is one of the most innovative vessels ever constructed

Jiangnan Shipyard bags $470m order for LNG duo

China’s Jiangnan Shipyard has been contracted to build a pair of liquified natural gas carriers in a deal worth $470m. China Taiping Insurance Holdings confirmed the deal in Hong Kong Exchange filing which included its non-wholly owned subsidiary Taiping & Sinopec Financial Leasing (TSFL) and its two special purpose vehicles Taiping 26 and Taiping 27.

ADNOC orders two more LNGs from Jiangnan Shipyard

Abu Dhabi National Oil Company’s (ADNOC), logistic arm ADNOC Logistics & Services, has ordered for two 175,000 cu m LNG new builds from Jiangnan Shipyard. With this contract the total number of vessels ordered by ADNOC form the Chinese shipyard has reached six. The units are due for delivery across 2025 and 2026. Tags: ADNOC,

World’s largest ethane carrier delivered

Jiangnan Shipyard, located just north of Shanghai, has this week delivered the world’s largest ethane carrier to UK firm Ineos. The 60,000 dwt Pacific Ineos Belstaff very large ethane carrier can carry 99,000 cu m of liquified gas. The vessel features a large B-type tank along with a gas containment system developed by the shipyard
