EKA Mobility has announced a strategic partnership with IKEA to supply electric delivery vans as part of IKEA’s initiative to electrify its last-mile delivery fleet in India. EKA Mobility has had backing from Mitsui & Co and VDL Groep. This partnership has already seen the delivery of 10 electric vans to IKEA, with plans to expand the fleet across multiple regions in India.
The transition to electric delivery vans is expected to significantly reduce IKEA’s carbon footprint, contributing to a more sustainable and environmentally friendly logistics operation. EKA’s electric vans are equipped with state-of-the-art battery technology, providing reliable, efficient, and profitable service in urban environments.
