The Solar Energy Corporation of India Limited (SECI), a Navratna Central Public Sector Enterprise operating under the Ministry of New and Renewable Energy, has announced an extension to the bid submission deadline for its ongoing green ammonia production and supply tender. The revised deadline for submission is now set for 30 June 2025.
The tender, originally released on 7 June 2024, is part of the Strategic Interventions for Green Hydrogen Transition (SIGHT) Scheme – Mode 2A, Tranche I. It targets the annual production and long-term supply of 724,000 metric tonnes of green ammonia to 13 designated fertiliser manufacturing facilities across India.
SECI, acting as the nodal agency, will oversee demand aggregation and enter into long-term offtake agreements with successful bidders. These contracts will span a 10-year duration, providing producers with commercial visibility and contributing to the development of a domestic market for green hydrogen derivatives.
By facilitating assured offtake, SECI aims to boost investor confidence and enable scale-up of green ammonia production infrastructure.
Interested stakeholders can find detailed tender documents and updates in the Tenders section of SECI’s official website: www.seci.co.in/tenders.
