Built by China Guangzhou Shipyard International (GSI), the world’s first LNG dual-fuel Suezmax oil tanker was delivered in southern China’s Guangzhou.
The 158,000-dwt vessel is the largest LNG dual-fuel green tanker in south China. The vessel is about 274 meters long, 48 meters wide, and 23.7 meters deep. It meets the Tier III emission standards promulgated by the International Maritime Organization for both fuel and LNG-powered modes.
Singapore’s Eastern Pacific Shipping placed the order at GSI in December 2019 for two LNG-powered carriers. The delivery marks that GSI has achieved full coverage in the field of tanker construction.
