Mr Indra Nath Bose, Advisor, The Great Eastern Shipping Co. Ltd. has over 50 years of experience in maritime industry. He has served Indian Register of Shipping (IRS) for 22 years in various capacities the last being Vice President. He has been with The Great Eastern Shipping Co. Ltd for past 14 years and served as the Designated Person and Head of QST Department and was responsible for quality, safety, occupational health and environment protection standards of the company and training of floating staff. He was a Member of the Governing Board and Chairman of the Academic Council of Great Eastern Institute of Maritime Studies. He has been representing Government of India at Marine Environment Protection Committee, and other Forums of International Maritime Organization for over two decade and has been closely associated with the development of various marine environment protection measures, specifically reduction of GHG Emission at national and international levels as representative of Indian National Shipowners’ Association (INSA). He is a Member of BIMCO Marine Environment Committee. He is the current Chairman of Technical Committee of INSA.

Mr. P. K. Mishra is the Managing Director of the Indian Register of Shipping (IRS), a position he assumed on 1 August 2024 after serving as Joint Managing Director. Having joined IRS as a surveyor in 1998, he brings 26 years of distinguished service and a deep understanding of the maritime industry, with a career spanning marine engineering and global statutory governance. Rising through the ranks, he previously held key positions including Head of Operations and Chief Surveyor. He has contributed significantly to shaping global maritime standards through his work with the International Association of Classification Societies (IACS), and from 2012 to 2022 represented the Indian Flag at the IMO's Marine Environment Protection Committee (MEPC). Under his leadership, IRS is focused on navigating regulatory transformation, advancing sustainable maritime technology, and championing green shipping practices — driving the organisation to new heights.
