ACME Group announced a green hydrogen and green ammonia project involving an investment of $663.65 (Rs 52,474 crore) in Tamil Nadu.
The project will comprise 5,000 mw of solar PV plant, 1.5 GW of the electrolyser and 1.1 million tonnes of ammonia synthesis loop.
The plant will produce green hydrogen and ammonia, which will help to de-carbonise sectors such as fertilisers, power, refining and steel, among others.
The project requires four ingredients – solar radiation, access to port, availability of land and skilled resources.
The initial agreement with the state government was signed during the Tamil Nadu Investment Conclave.
