Advario Projects B.V. has signed a sales and purchase agreement with Aluminium & Chemie B.V. (Aluchemie) to develop a new, future-focused energy storage terminal in Port of Rotterdam.
According to the company, the new site in Rotterdam provides Advario with the opportunity to develop, build, innovate and operate the storage infrastructure needed to successfully transition to cleaner energy. The 26-hectare Aluchemie site is located at the center of the Botlek, providing proximity to the existing hydrogen and carbon dioxide pipeline networks.
As Advario plans to turn this large site at the heart of the port into a state-of-the-art storage facility for the energy, fuels, and chemicals of the future, we are pleased with Advario’s acquisition of the site.
