Alternative fuel will make India number-1 in automobile sector: Nitin Gadkari

India’s automobile sector can become number-1 in the world in the next five years by using alternative fuel sources, Union Minister for Road Transport and Highways Nitin Gadkari said at the India Today Conclave 2021. Gadkari said it was his dream to make the Indian automobile sector the leader of the segment in the world.

Centre to make use of Green Hydrogen Mandatory for Refineries

In a move that can make India one of the largest hydrogen producers, the Modi government is set to make it mandatory for oil refineries and fertiliser manufacturers to produce or procure green Hydrogen to meet part of their needs. Green Hydrogen is the cleanest fuel as it is produced through electrolysis using renewable energy.

PM announces hydrogen mission in the country

Speaking from the ramparts of the historic Red Fort on the occasion of India’s 75th Independence Day, Prime Minister Narendra Modi declared a target of attaining self-reliance in energy by 2047.
