GreenH Electrolysis, a joint venture between H2B2 Electrolysis Technologies of Spain and GR Group from India, has announced its plans to build an advanced PEM electrolyser manufacturing facility in India. The 1 GW plant will be located in the Reliance MET Industrial Park, Jhajjar District, Haryana, with the first phase sprawling across 97,000 sq.ft. The plant is currently under installation, and operations are scheduled to begin by October this year.
The manufacturing plant will be equipped with cutting-edge technology from the Spanish parent company, H2B2 Electrolysis Technologies. Together with the project development and EPC expertise of the Indian parent company, GR Group, a prominent player in India’s infrastructure sector, the company is aiming to deliver state-of-the-art green hydrogen technology electrolysers to its Indian customers.
Initially, the manufacturing plant will have a capacity of 100 MW, with plans to scale it up to 500 MW within the next two years on the same premises. For Phase 2, additional land will be acquired to expand the capacity to 1 GW.
GreenH’s long-term commitment aligns with the “Make in India” initiative and the Indian Government’s Green Hydrogen Mission.
