RAD Propulsion opens office in Charleston as it expands into US market

UK-based electric marine propulsion company RAD Propulsion has expanded into the United States with the opening of an office in Charleston, South Carolina. The expansion follows RAD’s existing collaborations, including its partnership with Zodiac of North America, a manufacturer of inflatable and rigid-hull inflatable boats.

“Establishing a base in Charleston is an important milestone for RAD,” said Simon Payne, sales director at RAD Propulsion. “It not only strengthens our ability to support customers across North America but also symbolises the growth of RAD as we build a dedicated team in the US to accelerate adoption of our technology.”

RAD develops electric propulsion systems and robotic control technologies designed for use in a range of marine environments. The company says its products are engineered to reduce emissions and noise pollution while maintaining performance standards. Commenting on the partnership, Justin Antolini, commercial sales director of Zodiac of North America, said: “Working with RAD Propulsion has been a fantastic experience.
