Sallaum Lines has taken delivery of the LNG dual-fuel pure car and truck carrier (PCTC) Ocean Legacy, expanding its Ocean Class fleet of vehicle carriers.
The vessel measures about 199.9 metres in length and 37.7 metres in breadth, with capacity for up to 7,400 vehicles across 13 cargo decks. Ocean Legacy is fitted with LNG dual-fuel propulsion and LNG storage capacity of approximately 36–37.8 tonnes, allowing operation with lower emissions compared with conventional marine fuels.
According to the company, the ship incorporates a range of energy-efficiency measures, including an optimised hull form and onboard automation systems aimed at improving operational performance. Ocean Legacy joins sister vessels Ocean Breeze and Ocean Explorer as part of Sallaum Lines’ Ocean Class series.
Ocean Breeze was delivered on 18 July, around four months ahead of schedule, the company said.
The newbuilding was constructed at China Merchants Jinling Shipyard (Jiangsu) in China. “This delivery reflects our ongoing investment in modern vessels designed to reduce emissions and improve operational efficiency, while continuing to provide dependable shipping services,” said Sami Sallaum, Chairman of Sallaum Lines.
