Thermax Ltd has entered into an agreement with Norway-based HydrogenPro to supply, install and commission alkaline electrolyser systems in India. The deal includes after-sales services for the systems, which will be based on HydrogenPro’s technology.
According to Thermax, the agreement covers technology licensing, supply of stacks, and access to any future upgrades and technical support from HydrogenPro. The company will have exclusive rights in India to supply, install, commission and maintain these systems, effective immediately for use in ongoing green hydrogen projects.
Thermax will engineer and manufacture key systems and balance-of-plant components for integration with HydrogenPro’s stacks through a technology transfer arrangement.
In a video briefing, Thermax Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer Ashish Bhandari said the collaboration will allow the company to deliver alkaline technology-based solutions for industrial applications in India, with integrated local manufacturing and lifecycle support.
HydrogenPro Chief Executive Officer Jarle Dragvik noted that India’s expanding renewable energy sector positions it among the fastest-growing hydrogen markets globally. He said the partnership gives HydrogenPro a strategic entry into the country.
