GTT has secured a new order from South Korea’s Hyundai Samho Heavy Industries.
Under the contract, GTT will design the tanks of two LNG carriers with a capacity of 174,000 cbm.
The vessels will feature GTT’s Mark III Flex membrane containment system. GTT added that HSHI plans to deliver the LNG carriers to an Asian shipowner in the first and second quarters of 2027.
This deal is probably related to a recent contract HSHI’s parent HD Korea Shipbuilding & Offshore Engineering announced for two LNG carriers worth about $523 million. HSHI will deliver these vessels by October 2027.
