To develop a hydrogen hub at Tuticorin in Tamilnadu, NTPC Green Energy Ltd (NGEL) and V O Chidambaranar Port Authority (VOCPA) have joined hands.
NTPC said in a statement that both entities signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) in this regard.
At the hub that will be constructed on the land supplied by VOCPA, green hydrogen and its derivatives, such as green ammonia and green methanol, will be produced.
The NTPC Group is working on a pipeline of more than 20 GW and has a goal of constructing a 60 GW capacity for renewable energy by 2032.
