Karstensens Skibsværft and Klondyke Fishing Company has chosen a broad equipment range from Brunvoll for the new fishing vessel “Chris Andra”. This is yet another contract between Brunvoll and Karstensen Skibsværft in the fishing vessel range, and delivery of the complete vessel will happen in 2026.
The delivery to Karstensens Skibsværft includes several advanced Brunvoll products: the Integrated Costa Propulsion with controllable pitch propeller and gear, tunnel thruster, retractable azimuth combithruster, and the Brunvoll BruCon control system.
The Integrated Costa Propulsion is a design concept where propeller, nozzle, and rudder are designed and hydrodynamically optimized in unison by Brunvoll’s hydrodynamicists, for maximum thrust and steering. The retractable azimuth combi thruster in the bow contributes to both sideways thrust, and additional propulsion and maneuvering power when needed. Further, the BruCon control system allows the operator to fluently steer and maneuver the vessel in various operating conditions, from several operating stations onboard the vessel depending on the ongoing task.
“Chris Andra” will add to the Klondyke Fishing Company’s fleet of pelagic trawlers operating out of Fraserburgh, Scotland.
