SOCAR Turkey will increase the crude oil processing capacity of the STAR Refinery in İzmir Aliağa, which is currently 11 million tons, to 13 million tons.
Capacity will be increased at the Star Refinery, which is operated by the SOCAR Turkey group, which carries out the Turkey operations of the Azerbaijani oil company SOCAR.
After the efficiency created by using the flexibility potentials of the units without making any changes in the production technology and unit capacities at the refinery, it was observed that the annual crude oil handling amount (330 days) could reach 13,000,000 tons/year.
For this reason, STAR Rafineri A.Ş. is planning to increase the crude oil processing capacity of the refinery operating in İzmir’s Aliağa district.
Within the scope of the project, which is worth 250 thousand euros, it is planned to increase the crude oil processing capacity from 11,000,000 tons/year to 13,000,000 tons/year.
