Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar on Monday met Union Cabinet Minister Bhupender Yadav and demanded at least one-year exemption for the use of CNG, PNG fuels in the industrial sector in the state.
Bhupender Yadav is Union Minister for Labour & Employment and Environment, Forest & Climate Change.During the meeting held in New Delhi, Khattar discussed the use of CNG and PNG fuels in the industrial sector and demanded a relaxation of at least one year to industries so that by then the required infrastructure can be prepared across the state. While talking to the mediapersons, the Chief Minister said that apart from this issue, another issue related to the Najafgarh drain was also discussed in the meeting. He informed that due to the problem of overflowing of water caused due to Najafagrh drain, water overflows in about 3000 acres of land in Gurugram. The Chief Minister shared that he also held a detailed discussion with Union Minister that work of desilting of Najafgarh drain should be done jointly by Centre, Haryana and Delhi Government so that a dam can be built on it later. There should be a permanent solution to problems of people of this area, he said.
