Monjasa is expanding its fleet in Asia, with plans to bring in three tankers to the world’s top bunkering port.
The company, which supplies 1m tonnes of marine fuels across Asia each year, has already deployed one tanker to service Singapore, and two further ships are expected to join later this year.
All three ships are SIRE-vetted and come with experienced crews in handling ship-to-ship bunkering operations in Singapore, Monjasa said, adding that the new operation also opens up for the supply of biofuels according to local requirements.
Commenting on the company’s expansion of supply logistics in Singapore, Morten Østergaard Jacobsen, managing director for Asia, said: “Coming from 15 years as a trading company in Singapore, Monjasa is all set to embrace this new opportunity of controlling tonnage as well.
Monjasa’s fleet counts 30 tankers and barges deployed worldwide.
