Artemis Technologies Ltd, a global innovator in electric foiling maritime vessels, has entered into an agreement with Noatum Maritime—part of AD Ports Group ESG’s Maritime & Shipping Cluster—to deliver a state-of-the-art Artemis EF-12 Pilot boat for use in the United Arab Emirates.
The fully electric hydrofoiling vessel will contribute to the UAE’s broader climate ambitions, aligning with the country’s NetZero by 2050 strategy and the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals. Designed for zero-emission operations, the vessel features advanced battery propulsion technology and is purpose-built for the demands of modern port environments.
Capable of reaching speeds of up to 30 knots and cruising comfortably at 25 knots, the EF-12 Pilot boat offers high-performance electric operation.
At its core is Artemis Technologies’ innovative eFoiler® technology, which lifts the boat’s hull above the water to minimise drag, reduce energy consumption, and increase overall efficiency. The hydrofoiling design also ensures minimal wake and enhances comfort for crew members, making it ideal for operational use in busy ports.
Dr. Iain Percy OBE, CEO of Artemis Technologies, expressed enthusiasm about the partnership. “We are proud to support Noatum Maritime as they expand their commitment to clean maritime technologies. The Artemis EF-12 Pilot boat represents a leap in zero-emission capability and operational efficiency. Our eFoiler® technology is reshaping the future of maritime transport and we are excited to see it applied to real-world operations in the UAE.”
The collaboration underlines Noatum Maritime’s ongoing efforts to advance sustainability across its operations and signals a growing regional demand for next-generation, zero-emission vessels.
