Indian biofuels technology firm GPS Renewables has acquired Germany-based Proweps Envirotech, a design and engineering company that specializes in technologies to utilize municipal and industrial organic waste for biogas production.
According to the report, GPS Renewables has set up over 100 biogas plants across India.
Meanwhile, Proweps’ flagship projects include the largest organic waste-to-biogas power project in the UK, located at Poplars landfill site, and the largest organic waste-based RNG plant in Scandinavia, located at Västeras, Sweden.
