XING Mobility, the Taiwanese pioneer in immersion cooling battery technology, made its debut at SMM Hamburg with the IMMERSIO battery system, spotlighting its newest product, the marine-ready IMMERSIO CTP. Purpose-built for maritime electrification, IMMERSIO CTP combines the highest safety standards, sustained high performance and a compact footprint.
IMMERSIO CTP is built on XING’s patented immersion cooling architecture, in which every individual battery cell is fully submerged in a dielectric, electrically non-conductive coolant. Because heat is removed directly at the source, the system sustains high power output over time, actively suppresses thermal runaway, and prevents fire propagation between cells, marking a new safety benchmark for lithium-ion batteries at sea.
Key features include twice the energy density, with the cell-to-pack architecture delivering up to 2x the energy density of conventional marine batteries, freeing up space and weight for cargo, passengers or extended range; continuous 3C power, built for high-demand cycles and providing the high-rate discharge and rapid charging performance required by fast-transit vessels; flexible scaling by hull size, allowing the system to be easily scaled to match different hull dimensions and reduce engineering complexity for electric vessel development; and active fire safety, with immersion-cooled cells actively suppressing thermal runaway and preventing cell-to-cell propagation.
Together, high energy density, continuous power delivery and best-in-class fire safety position IMMERSIO CTP as a forward-looking foundation for zero-emission shipping.
XING Mobility’s IMMERSIO battery systems are already powering vessels on the water. The zero-emission Porrima P111 was launched in Taiwan equipped with an IMMERSIO battery system and has demonstrated reliable performance in open-ocean conditions. An IMMERSIO system has also been integrated into the newest vessel from Austrian electric-boat specialist Smart IQ, with commissioning and system-integration testing successfully completed in late April 2026.
XING Mobility is a global leader in immersion-cooled high-voltage battery systems. Starting with the development of Taiwan’s first electric supercar, MISS R, the company built core capabilities in peak instantaneous power output, high-frequency dynamic load stability and precision power control under extreme conditions. In 2024, XING Mobility established the world’s first mass-production facility for immersion-cooled battery systems and introduced IMMERSIO Matrix, a Unified Immersion Battery Architecture in which cooling, structure, safety and control are engineered as a single integrated system. The platform has since been extended across commercial vehicles, agricultural machinery, marine applications, energy storage and AI data centre infrastructure.
