EMO Energy Expands into Heavy Commercial EV Segment with AI-Enabled Battery Platform

EMO Energy has entered the heavy commercial vehicle (HCV) market with the launch of a new intelligent battery platform designed for electric buses, trucks, and other high-utilization commercial vehicle fleets.

The move broadens the company’s presence in the electric mobility sector as demand increases for battery technologies that can support intensive commercial operations while reducing downtime and operating costs.

The newly launched platform integrates battery systems, fast-charging technology, thermal management solutions, and artificial intelligence-driven battery analytics into a single solution. According to EMO Energy, the platform is designed to address key operational challenges faced by commercial EV fleet operators, including battery degradation, charging delays, overheating, and vehicle downtime.

Supporting high-voltage architectures of up to 800V, the battery system can be charged in less than 30 minutes and is compatible with both Lithium Iron Phosphate (LFP) and Nickel Manganese Cobalt (NMC) battery chemistries.

Designed for High-Utilization Commercial Fleets

The platform features a modular battery architecture, immersion-cooling thermal management technology, advanced battery management systems (BMS), cell-level health monitoring, predictive diagnostics, and integrated safety mechanisms. It also offers vehicle-specific customization for different commercial vehicle applications.

At the core of the platform is SENS, EMO Energy’s proprietary AI-powered battery intelligence layer, which provides real-time performance monitoring, battery health insights, and optimization capabilities.

The solution is targeted at a range of commercial mobility applications, including:

  • Electric buses
  • Heavy-duty trucks
  • Freight and logistics fleets
  • Construction vehicles
  • Industrial mobility platforms

Focus on Uptime and Total Cost of Ownership

EMO Energy said the platform has been developed with a focus on improving operational efficiency and long-term reliability rather than solely increasing battery capacity.

By combining battery intelligence with predictive maintenance capabilities, the company aims to help fleet operators reduce maintenance-related disruptions, improve vehicle availability, and lower total cost of ownership.

The platform also supports second-life battery applications, contributing to circular economy initiatives and sustainability objectives within the electric vehicle sector.

Expansion Opportunities Across Commercial Transport

EMO Energy currently works with commercial EV manufacturers on battery systems, charging infrastructure, thermal management technologies, and AI-enabled battery solutions. The company expects its entry into the HCV segment to create new opportunities across public transportation, logistics, and industrial mobility markets.

Commenting on the launch, Sheetanshu Tyagi, Founder and CEO of EMO Energy, highlighted the growing importance of battery intelligence in commercial vehicle electrification.

“The future of commercial EVs will be defined not just by battery capacity, but by battery intelligence. At EMO Energy, we’re building intelligent battery systems that help commercial fleets achieve higher uptime, faster charging, and long-term reliability at scale,” he said.
