Amara Raja bags first green hydrogen fueling station project from NTPC

Amara Raja Power Systems has been awarded a project to set up India’s first green hydrogen fueling station in Leh, Ladakh by National Thermal Power Corporation Limited (NTPC).

The project aims to bring in emission-free transport in and around Leh with a plan to ply five hydrogen fuel cell buses in the region.

The project is being set up at a height of 3600 mts above sea level with a temperature variation of – 14 degrees to +20°C.

The Green hydrogen will be produced by splitting water into hydrogen and oxygen, using electrolysis process powered by electricity generated by renewable energy sources.
