Jan Erik Hoff appointed CFO of Kongsberg Maritime

Kongsberg Maritime has appointed Jan Erik Hoff as its permanent Chief Financial Officer (CFO), following his tenure as acting CFO since June 18, 2026. Hoff will also join the company’s Executive Management Team.

Hoff moves from acting to permanent CFO role

Hoff has held several roles within Kongsberg Gruppen, including Group Vice President for Investor Relations. Following Kongsberg Maritime’s stock market listing in April 2026, he assumed responsibility for Investor Relations and Business Intelligence at the maritime technology company before taking on the acting CFO position in June.

“I am excited to take on the role of Chief Financial Officer of Kongsberg Maritime,” said Hoff. “We are uniquely positioned through our world-leading technology, strong market presence and talented people.” He added that he looks forward to working with colleagues across the company as Kongsberg Maritime pursues its growth plans.

Mette Toft Bjørgen to leave Kongsberg Maritime

Hoff’s permanent appointment follows the decision by Mette Toft Bjørgen to step down from the CFO position and leave Kongsberg Maritime.

Bjørgen became CFO when Kongsberg Maritime was listed in April 2026. Prior to the demerger that separated Kongsberg Maritime from Kongsberg Gruppen, she served as CFO of Kongsberg Gruppen.

Kongsberg Maritime CEO Lisa Edvardsen Haugan thanked Bjørgen for her contribution during the listing process and welcomed Hoff’s permanent appointment.
