Klaveness Combination Carriers ASA (KCC) has secured a three-year time charter agreement for one of its CLEANBU vessels, with the contract commencing immediately.
The agreement was concluded through a subsidiary of KCC and forms part of the company’s time charter employment programme for its CLEANBU fleet.
The three-year charter features a front-loaded rate structure, with the highest rate applicable in the first year, followed by step-down rates in the second and third years. The average time charter rate over the contract period exceeds the highest average annual time charter rate previously achieved by the CLEANBU fleet.
Commenting on the agreement, KCC CEO Engebret Dahm said: “The concluded time charter enables KCC to capitalize on the historically strong product tanker market. With this contract, we complete our time charter employment program, and the remaining six CLEANBU vessels will continue operating as combination carriers.”
With the latest agreement, KCC has completed its planned time charter employment programme. The remaining six CLEANBU vessels will continue to operate as combination carriers, maintaining their dual-purpose operating model.
The announcement was made in Oslo on 4 November 2026.
